No volume logo

Please Discard all my other threads this is the final one, I have a Mac Mini Mid 2007

Mac Os 10.75, the volume logo at the top right hand corner of the menu bar is

greyed out, in system preferences, in sound, The dialogue box is saying ( No imput devices found)

(No output devices found,,,, Mute is checked but grayed out).......Please excuse me for all the miss

information I have sent before. I need some help. Thanks.
