5k Games & Mouse Sensitivity

When I load a game up in 5k resolution the mouse sensitivity drops significantly compared to what its like on the desktop anyone know why this is I have tried a couple of games and it happens in all of them. Unfortunatly the games do not have sensitivity options either!

If I run the game at 1440p the mouse seems fine.

I am assuming the OS is running at 5k? and not an upscaled 1440p?

Also I have had to buy a 3rd party app called CursorSense to remove the mouse acceleration as there is no option in the OS to do which is crazy!
