I sync some music to my iPod Touch (4g) and it stays there until the next sync. After the next sync that music isn't there. It is there in iTunes on my PC, but not on my iPod. Please help!

Follow the instructions here:

iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod

Are you always using the same computer/iTunes library?

How are you syncing:

- Whole library?

- Check songs?

- Manually managing music?

I was using the same computer to sync until recently when I got a new one. Could that be the problem?

And I check songs and manually manage music.

Yes. An iPod can only sync to one iTunes library/computer. To change syncing computers do the following:

- Transfer iTunes purchases to the new computer by:

iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer

- Transfer other music by using a third-party program like on of those discussed here:

newer copy

- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up

- Restore the iPod from that backup.

Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

was having the same problem. finally figured it out. Some stuff from a valid playlist had been moved/renamed in the master music folder. The sync would hide all music because the playlist wouldn't work. got rid of playlist. Tada.
