No Bootable Device

I'm Getting ''no bootable device'' when I start up. I have checked other forums but none fit the issue,  I recently deleted the bootcamp partition in disk utility and colapsed the free memory with the mac os. I'm guessing thats it where it started. I started my mac this morning and it showed the no bootable device text. I tryed holding c and option/alt and my disk drive  hates disks it will wine a bit then spit them back out. so is there any way to get it to boot the hd.

When you deleted the BootCamp partition with Disk Utility, you corupted the partition map so that the disk is no longer usable.

The partition map created by BootCamp is hybred that the Disk Utility is incapable of deleting the partition without corrupting the map.

The only thing that you can do now is to repartition the disk back back to a single partition thereby destroying all of the data and then reinstalling everything again from scratch.

Can we get just a little more info on your system. Your post is a little vague, need to know what kind of computer, size of the HD and Ram and year ETC.

How? Teach me please
