MacBook Pro battery not available
My MacBook has recently developed an issue where it will only turn on if plugged into the mains. The battery icon has a x in it, and says there is no battery available. It also runs incredibly slow. I've already tried the SMC reset which sadly didn't work - any other advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Information I've read in the past states that a Mac notebook running without a battery only runs at half speed. That may be the issue, in which case you'll need to replace the battery.
