Wifi Printer Setup With Sierra

I am having a strange problem in setting up an Epson wifi printer to a Macbook Pro. When I try to add a new printer to printers & scanners nothing shows up. The only way is to add the printer using the IP address. I have 3 other Macs with different OS versions and all find the two Epson printers I have on my network with no problem whatsoever. I have even gone through the trouble of upgrading this Macbook Pro from 10.9 to 10.12.6. I have also used the Epson software to try find the printer on the network and that fails too. If I plug the printer with a USB cable it finds it straight away. This Macbook Pro had McAfee installed which I have removed thinking that it might be blocking the connection. I have also setup a new user account on the mac, no luck either. Any suggestions from anyone will be truly apreciatted.
