App updates and device sync with iTunes 12.7 wh...

Like many other Mac users I have now updated to iTunes 12.7 not fully realising the implications of doing so but slowly understanding the magnitude of the changes made.

I am accustomed to plugging my devices into my computer to synchronise (once all app updates have been downloaded) and waiting a few minutes for backup and uploading of the updated applications.

Now, with this new version of iTunes I am unable to do that and, what's more, for each device that I want to update, I have to download the update on that device. Being limited in both bandwidth and download volume this is a major issue for me as in my family (and linked to my account) there are 4 iPhones and 3 iPads. If for instance it is necessary to download the microsoft office suite (usually a monthly update) that means that I have to download ~7Gb rather than the ~1Gb I normally downloaded.

In addition it appears that if I want to back up my iPhones / iPads - I have to initiate a manual backup for each device.

I am apalled by Apples lack of understanding of their users - for goodness sake, we are dealing with smartphones here, not a media playing device.

Please reconsider what you have done to iTunes before I change over to Android!
