My iPad Air2 keeps forgetting my iCloud password!

Why?

I keep changing it about once a month. This is very annoying & frustrating. Why does my iPad keep forgetting my iCloud password & what must I do to stop it from forgetting my password?

I want to trade it in & get a gift card & use the gift card to get a MacBook Air. I'm concerned that my iPad will forget the password before I trade it in.
