Calendar alerts for link to application disappe...

I had a one minute link to iCloud that got screwed up and managed to mess up Calendar and Contacts.

In Calendar, I set up an appointment and choose the Custom method with the option to open an application. Everything looks fine, and I close the set-up window. I can check one second later, and the alert is “None.” Other alerts work. I put a second alert (standard) with the application-launching alert. The second stardard alert appears, the application doesn’t open, and the Custom alert again says “None.”

I’m stumped. I hope a few of you aren’t.
