Replacing Hard Disc
Hi Everyone,
I'm about to sell my iMac and got talking to a guy who fixes iPhones a few months ago, he advised to replace the hard drive and replace it to prevent someone hacking into it etc.
Last week while buying an Apple laptop I asked the guy helping me if this was valid advice. His response was 'No' and went onto say that nothing is unbreakable but it's a question of what lengths would someone go to get the information. His further response was to the effect of making it known to me that to break into a iMac would take a lot of money and time, taking into account there is nothing worthy on my hard drive other than information to steal my identity, it would be illogical to attempt to break into my system.
I'm more inclined to believe the Apple guy from the store but would be interested to hear from anyone in here on the subject.
Thank You for your time,
Graeme
