Itunes on Macbook pro not responding

Hi,

This is my first question to the apple community. Thanks in advance for your help.

Itunes on my macbook pro is just not responding, it is frozen.

I purchased my macbook pro 17 inch in June 2010 and it's current operating system is MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

I cannot afford to lose the data on my itunes.

Please, Please help!
