Restore Apple Watch from Watch OS 4

Seeing if there a way or a how to guide to restore from Watch OS 4???

Hi there,

I also want to restore from Watch OS 4 to a previous version.

I work as a landscape gardener and play music on my iPhone through eardefender headphones all day, due to the messy/wet nature of my job I don’t want to be taking my phone out of my pocket all the time to change tracks.

For this reason I purchased an Apple Watch because of its ability to control my phone's music library,

since the introduction of Watch OS 4 the full control  my iphones music library has been removed.

Therfore I either need a way to restore to a previous OS or the control of my phone needs to be added into future updates.

why has the music app on the Watch OS even been changed so drastically ?

It is not possible to downgrade watchOS.

 

If, under watchOS 4, the Music and/or Now Playing apps no longer offer all of the features that you would prefer, then you can submit a feature request to Apple here:

 

I am aware of both the inability to roll back the OS and of the feedback process of Apple having filled out the request numerous times over the weekend. The lack of any feedback from this process is my reason for joining the forums in the first place. Thank you Jonathon for yet another scripted response from a member off “Apple Support”

For your information, my initial reply in this thread related to a specific circumstance of an Apple Watch that was running developer beta software. As you appear to already be aware, Apple does not support downgrading watchOS.
