Songs Not Showing As Played In iOS 11

The play counts are not updating in the music app since upgrading to iOS 11. I have smart playlists and third-party apps that use last played to sort and update, but songs that have just been played are not showing that they've been played. The songs that show as having been recently played are all prior to the upgrade. I've confirmed that it is not any of the third-party apps, it's iOS 11. Is anyone else having this issue?
