MacBook Pro gives the start up tone, but that&#...

Traveling on business and when I got to the room my MacBook Pro would not turn on.  I get a tone and the cap lock light works, but no display. I noticed that when I shut it down this morning the apple logo was still lit.  Now it is dark.

Tried to reset the SMS and that didn’t help.  Do you think it’s a display issue?  And it is running high Sierra
