iPad Pro with Smart Keyboard, language change i...

Hi,

I am using iPad Pro with Smart Keyboard and having an issue with language change being laggy.  When the Globe key is pressed, it does show available languages and switches fine, but the change is not applied instantaneously.  There is a slight latency of the language switching which makes typing experience very awkward and jerky.

Anyone else notice this issue with using more than two languages?

I have not exactly the same issue but it is close.

When I type the Globe key nothing happens at all. But on the virtual keyboard it is working fine.

I was hopping that iOS 9.3 will solve this issue but even on the latest public beta, nothing has changed regarding the impossibility of changing the keyboard layout with the Globe key.

That is strange.  Global key does work here, but very slow.  It kinda defeats the purpose of using physical keyboard for faster input.  Latest beta doesn't solve. 

Instead of using the globe key, try Control plus Space.

Thanks.  CTRL + Space seems to work better than the global key.  I wonder why global key has lag and CTRL/Space doesn't.

I don't know, but the globe key is something new on hardware keyboards, the normal way to switch languages has always been command plus space, and then with 9.2 and 10.11 control plus space.   To tell apple its not working very well, you can go to

Using the globe key shuts the application down.  When I use Control plus Space, I get a small window which flashes quickly between English and French.  It won't allow me to choose French.  I have an iPad pro.

Are you using Apple's Smart Keyboard?

Then you should start a new discussion, this one is for the Smart keyboard, the problems with 3rd party stuff are different.

I have exactly the same problem with iPad pro and Smart Keyboard. It's very annoying. Will try Control Space when I get back. Hopefully it will work.

Same problem here. Mine isn't even about the issue of lagging; the 'global key' simply doesn't work. It worked fine for the past 3 weeks I've owned my iPad Pro 9.7, but I just noticed that it stopped working today. I just noticed that when trying to use the global key in Notes app, it works with a bit of lag. Contro + Space isn't working either as I'm tying this now.

I am still having problems with either the globe key or the ctrl-space combo. My problem isn't the lag anymore, but it doesn't round robin properly. I use English, emoji, and French. If on English, it will often go to emoji, and then back to English... if its on French it does the same thing. It also randomly selects one. So when switching, if I start to type before the dialogue box disappears it will randomly go to an unintended keyboard.

Any ideas? Switching back and forth is driving me nuts!

I have the exact same problem on my iPad Pro apple smart keyboard, it refuses to change language with the globe key, still now after update to IOS 10, not very "smart" and my extreme expencive keyboard is useless to me...
