Sync iPhone only when the iPhone is connected ...

Hello,

Not sure this is possible (i.e. I couldn't find a way) but, is there a way to configure iTunes to perform a sync only when an iPhone is connected, and not when iTunes is launched manually ? It's annoying to have to wait through a sync when iTunes is launched manually ...
