Why does my Mac Disconnect my Airpods?

I have been using the AirPods for almost a month and my phone connects with them fine and stays connected. My MacBook Pro on the other hand will connect right away but during a song will just lose the audio and still be connected. In 1 song i will lose audio and it will come back in 10 seconds about 5 times. Watching Netflix the same thing happens. The audio is just gone wile the show continues.

How do I make this stop happening or where can I tell apple to fix this problem with a software update??

My mac is up to date with latest Sierra 10.12.4

Might be corrupted Bluetooth preferences. It can happen ...

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Then copy / paste the following:

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist

Then click Go then move com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.

Restart your Mac and pair your AirPods.

ok i tried this method and it erased all previous connected bluetooth devices and after connected to my AirPods again the same problem keeps happening. The audio will cut out wile the music says its still playing.

Its only with my mac so I know its not the AirPods. 

I think it has something to do with my phone bluetooth being on. If I'm connected with my phone and then switch to my Mac, I switch fine but thats when the audio cutting out happens.

I found this on another thread posted by pacific707 and I think it helped -

Here is how I solved the issue.

1. Hold down Shift+Option and click on the Bluetooth icon in the menubar.

2. An hidden menu is visible called "Debug" in that menu choose "Reset the Bluetooth module".

- a warning will appear asking you to confirm the action.   Keep in mind this will disconnect any bluetooth devices.  So if your using a desktop with BT keyboard and mouse you may want to have a usb option available. I did it on my MacBook Pro so it wasn't a problem.

3. Restart the computer.

After restart the bluetooth was fine my accessories all connected without issue and most importantly my AirPods are working great now!!

I did this, but unfortunately it did not help to me.
