Mac book air battery replacement

Hello All,

So, I bought a Mac Book Air which I knew it does not have a functional battery.

I replaced the battery with a third party battery produced by FLOUREON.

So far things are not looking good.

Immediately after the installation, the battery showed 56% power, which lasted for about 5 hours. After that, I could no longer charge it. The amber light comes on and stays on. The battery percentage does not go over 1%.

I did reset the SMG - no change. Tried 2 different chargers still no result.

What is the issue?

I don't know what issues there were before the battery replacement, which could indicate what the actual issue is. From what you've written, if everything was working fine before and just the battery needed replacing, then it sounds like you got a bad battery. If there were other issues (it sounds like you've ruled out the power adapter), that's another story. It could be the MagSafe DC-In Board or the logic board itself.
