Apple Deleted Thousands of my Photos

I was told to upgrade my storage or lose thousands of photos and videos.  I had thirty days to do so.  So, I upgraded well before the 30 days.  Suddenly, after the thirty day period and despite my having upgraded to 50 GB of storage, they deleted my photos and cannot get them back.  They destroyed my personal property.  Can I sue?
