Youtube app on iPad air does not load videos

Hello Everyone,

My iPad cannot play videos on YouTube app, I just get this black loading screen with the loading animation.

After testing with different devices (Mac, smart TV, Android phone) I realize it's not the internet connection or anything related to WIFI, because all devices works great.

This is what I've tested/discarded so far:

-Closed all apps

-Restart

-Hard reset

-Tried different Router (tried with 2 models)

-Changed DNS to Google’s 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

-Upgrade iOS version 10.3.3 to the latest

-Upgrade YouTube app 12.31 to the latest

-Complete restore from factory and only install YouTube

After doing this last one I realize that:

When this situation occurs, it affects videos with adds at the beginning, the add doesn’t start and prevent the actual video to be watched. If I try to reproduce a video without the advertising at the beginning I get no issues.

I get this issue randomly, for example, after I get this problem, I wait a couple of hours, try again and guess what? everything is perfect but then I get the same black loading screen after an hour or two.

At the beginning, I noticed this behavior once in a week but it became more and more frequently, I tough it has something to do with the internet or WIFI but, since I’ve upgrade my router and made some changes on my wireless network I can now guarantee I get no issues at all on any other devices, even farther away from the wireless Access Point.

Hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction, this is the first time I ask for help on the internet and tried to expose as much details as I could.

I just wanted to mention that I have the same issue with an IPad Air, first gen/10.3.3 with the latest youtube app.

ALL other wireless devices work without issues. (Android, windows and my linux laptop running debian)

The video FAILS to play after the youtube video advertisement .

I'm actually testing with my older wireless router and the problem was solved for the most part? It seems to be working with my old wireless router....

I'm scratching my head... It's an ASUS RT-66U running only 5Ghz with no real WiFi features enabled, (QoS, WMM - IGMP, etc)

My newer wireless solution is multiple Cisco 3702i's with w a 2504 controller.. I'm desperately trying multiple settings to get this to work with my Ipad. 

  I'll update if I find anything.  Still not sure if its my network or the APP....
