My Apple devices (only Apple) are not staying c...

I am in an office environment with a FiOS internet provider (Verizon).  Most of the machines in the office are Windows and/or Android.  I use a 2007 iMAc and myself and another coworker have iPhone7s.  Our IT guy, basically the only one of us that has any  (though limited) network knowledge, says he can't trace the problem. 

He tried to solve the iMac problem by connecting it through an ethernet cable directly to the switch (and then to the modem).  NO DICE. 

The machine loses internet connectivity every 5 or 10 minutes!

He admits he's out of ideas so I thought I'd try the community since the problem seems to be limited to MacOS and iOS devices.
