Transfer of playlists

I bought my first iMac, and I was able to transfer my music (mostly copied from CD's that I own) from my iTunes on my windows 10 computer to my iMac with a flash drive. It did not however copy any of my playlists to the iMac. Is there a way to get this done? I was not able to get the migration way to work.
