My macbook air screen is glitched out?

Hey, everyone!

     I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this problem with my MacBook Air. A few months ago the left side of my computer glitched out, it won't let my mouse go into that area and it blue glitchy. (Like the photo shown below)  I made an appointment with Apple Care and made the trip down for it to be diagnosed, only for the screen to have magically fixed itself. In the end, Apple did a scan on my laptop but couldn't find a source of the problem, said my laptop was working perfectly. Now it has happened again and I'm in a bit of a pickle as I use my laptop almost every day for college!! Can someone help me out to try to fix the problem? I really don't want to make the 6-hour trek to the nearest apple store!!
