Firewall Continually Off

Why is my MacBook Pro firewall off every time I reboot?

I'm worried that my MacBook Pro is being controlled by someone or something that is not me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running 10.12.6

There are two software firewalls (ALF & PF) built-in with macOS. Both are disabled by default. Which one are you referring to?

If you are on your own private Network, your router provides it's own Firewall.
