Unable to do a backup of my iPhone through iTunes

I'm using iTunes 12.7.0.166 on my MacBook Pro, and i'm trying to do a backup of my iPhone 6 (iOS 11.0.1) to get ready for the iPhone 8 i ordered, so that i can load everything i have in my iPhone 6 into my brand new iPhone 8.

The problem is: when i connect the iPhone 6 to the mac (using the original manufactured apple usb cable) i don't get the option to backup the iPhone, it opens me a window asking me if i want to set the iPhone as brand new, or if i want to load a backup.

It seems like the iPhone 6 results new to the mac, even if it's not of course. Because it says "Welcome to iPhone".

Why i don't get the common page where you can start a backup? I don't know what to do to backup the phone.
