iTunes plays only one track

All of a sudden, since Sunday, iTunes on my Mac mini will only play one track & then stop.

I have "Shuffle" turned on, and it is set to shuffle by album.

Switch to the Songs view and make sure under iTunes > Preferences > General that Show: List view checkboxes is ticked. You will likely find that the tracks are all unchecked, which means they are skipped during normal track to track playback. If there is no unchecked track to switch to after the current track playback stops. Press Cmd+A to select all then right/ctrl(?) click and use Check Selection from the context menu.
