Deleting Family Reminders List
I'm the organizer of my Family Sharing feature with my sisters. And now that there's ios10, I've finally gotten a chance to make the Reminders app more useful for me than before. But there's the Family Reminders List that I cannot get rid of or hide or remove names. And the worst part is that it's literally the front of my lists which is a hassle to have to click over to the other ones for my personal and my work.
Is there any way to get rid of the reminders list without having to ultimately remove my family from the Family Sharing setting just so I can properly use the Reminders list without accidentally putting my to do list on blast with my sisters? I've tried to go through my phone and mbp settings as well as icloud but nothing can be done about it. It doesn't even have to be a permanent deletion, I just want to hide it or push it to the back where it won't bother me.
Thanks for the help if anybody has the answers!
If you don't want the family sharing reminder list and you don't want to share your reminder lists, than you can turn off Reminders inder Settings>General>Reminders, but this will not let you use the Reminders app over other devices.
Hope this helps.

So I guess there's no real workaround with that for now until they somehow make some kind of change to the app itself? I've got my Reminders set up over all my devices and defeats my purposes of doing that if I have to relegate it to just my phone.
Ok, I guess I'll just have to deal for now. Thanks for answering!
This is totally a year later but I've just ran into the same issue that you have. Not sure if you figured anything out yet, but here's what i've done...
Go to settings > Reminders > Accounts > Tap an account or add a new one > Turn on Reminders.
Then do the same thing across all your devices. A separate list will pop up in reminders. It's a it of a hassle but it works.
Open the list and click 'edit' in the top right. Scroll down to the bottom and there will be a 'delete list' button.
