need help!

how to access yahoo mail using imac - processor 1.4 Ghz, Intel Core i5

error encountered every time I tried to access - can't connect to yahoo account, enter the password for user.

i need to access my yahoo mail using mail application installed in imac, had an error prompt - can't connect to yahoo account, enter the password for user.

yahoo mail can be accessed without any issue using internet browner but not on the mentioned imac mail application

Try this:

1) Delete Yahoo from Mail and from Internet Accounts.

2) Go back to Mail and select “Preferences —> Accounts”

3) Click the Plus Sign, but do NOT choose the Yahoo mail account provider. Choose “Other Mail Account”.

4) Enter your Yahoo email and password, then click “Sign In”

5) Uncheck the box for “Notes”, then click “Done”
