2016 MBP, Everything Breaks Down Suddenly
Hello,
I have a the non-touchbar 2016 Macbook Pro, running macOS 10.12.6. Recently, my MacBook Pro just suddenly breaks down. Here's what I mean:
- The WiFi would stop working
- My current connection would no longer work (webpages don't load, no longer connect to the internet)
- I am unable to connect to a new connection
- The WiFi icon keeps doing that pulsing animation that plays when it connects to a network, but it just keeps pulsing and never actually connects to any network
- Sometimes, the WiFi icon would have an exclamation mark on it, and in Network Preferences, it says "No IP address" under the WiFi section.
- I am unable to quit out of applications, and have to Force Quit
- For example, I would CMD+Q to quit out of Safari, but it remains active in my dock, with a black dot under it, and it says "application not responding" when I right click the icon. I have to open Activity Monitor, and force quit out of Safari to actually close the application.
- This happens for most applications when my MBP just breaks down
- For example, I would CMD+Q to quit out of Safari, but it remains active in my dock, with a black dot under it, and it says "application not responding" when I right click the icon. I have to open Activity Monitor, and force quit out of Safari to actually close the application.
- The volume buttons (F10-F12) don't work anymore
- During this period when everything breaks down, hitting the volume buttons do nothing
- No volume toast shows up on the screen, the volume doesn't change, etc.
- During this period when everything breaks down, hitting the volume buttons do nothing
- I am unable to restart/shut down, and have to force shutdown
- Clicking Apple Logo -> Restart/Shut Down does nothing. It literally does nothing. I have to hold down the physical power button to actually shut down the computer.
That is just the stuff that I quickly noticed during this period of breakage. After I restart, and relog back in, everything is fine. Everything works normally and perfectly fine, for a few minutes. Then, suddenly, things break down and everything above happens again.
Does anyone know any resolution for this issue? Has this happened to anyone else before?
