Apple Watch Music Control

I am a fitness instructor and use my watch to control phone's music playback. The new watch OS breaks that functionality.  Is this a setting or a "feature"?  I am hoping I can down grade my watch because otherwise the watch is almost useless to me during class now.

The Now Playing app can still be used to control playback of music on the paired iPhone.

 

The Now Playing app can be added to the watch face as a complication and/or added permanently to the Dock.

you can pause/play and skip forwards & back on music that you've started playing on the iPhone...but you can no longer browse music on the iPhone. Please join a lot of people in submitting feedback to complain about the removal of this feature

If you would prefer that the Now Playing app offered additional functionality, then you may wish to submit a feature request to Apple:
