Have you tried charging it? Pr connecting it to itunes? You might have to reset the ipad to factory setting through iTunes. Did you have a recent backup on your ipad?

Try a reboot press the power button down &menu button hold both down until you see apple logo this can take 30 seconds.

If this doesn't work you need to restore using your pc make sure pc is running the latest iTunes 12.7

Thank you Sean_W. for the link. Holding down the power and menu buttons worked.

That is a good way to force reset any apple device that has the black screen of death. lol
