How do I stop the followup location notifications

As many users have, I accidently activated an SOS call with the 'feature' on my Apple Watch.  Fortunately, I stopped the 911 call but my phone is still sending location notifications to my emergency contacts.  Can someone please tell me how to stop these notifications?

TIA

Hi

After your Apple Watch has been used to contact the emergency services via the SOS feature, it is normal - unless you choose to cancel - for your watch to send text messages to your SOS contacts for a period of time afterwards, advising them of your current location.

If your location changes, your contacts will be sent an update and you will receive a notification about 10 minutes later.

To stop the updates from being sent, select Stop Sharing in the notification that you receive. If you keep sharing, you will receive a reminder to stop every 4 hours for 24 hours.

I have not received any notifications to select 'stop' on.  My contacts still receive texts, though.  There has to be another way, other than leaving my phone and watch off for 24 hours.

Did you ever find a solution? I have the same problem and can't figure out how to stop the notificat

I had to un-pair and pair the watch to the iPhone again.  That appears to have resolved it.

On your watch, you swipe down from the top, which will reveal the SOS notification. Scroll to the bottom and you will see the option to Stop Sharing

I tried this and there is no option at the bottom to Stop Sharing. I removed my emergency contacts out of my phone to stop sending to  my emergency contacts.  They were very annoyed by this. I however am still getting the messages. I see the Apple Watch 3 has a feature to turn it off completely.  I need this on my Series 2
