How do I burn a DVD+R video that will play on o...

I can not find a way to burn a DVD+R video that will play on other portable dvd players.  I understand that the PAL setting has to be a NTSC but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.  Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Have you considered Toast DVD?

You should use an application that will create a video DVD (not just disc with data).

In good old times, there was Apple’s iDVD app, but I’m sure there’s still some good product on the market.

Also, not all DVD players support DVD+R.

You will need an app that can encode and burn a video so it is readable on a player (otherwise it is only readable in a computer). There are quite a few: the best would be Roxio Toast. There are others (just google for them); one I have heard of is free: Burn - very basic, but it does do the job.

And, unless you have a built in Superdrive, you also need an external CD/DVD burner/player. Some only accept DVD+R, some DVD-R, and some do both. Check the player you want to use it with to see which one(s) it can read.
