iTunes 12.7 desktop version

Hello! I don't usually listen to podcasts in the iTunes app (v 12.7.0.166) on my laptop (2009 MacBook Pro, running El Capitan)…but today, when I downloaded a podcast episode and tried to listen to it on my computer, I was unable to locate a seek function in the player controls (i.e., to skip 15 seconds ahead or behind in the episode). Does such a function exist in the desktop version of the iTunes app? Are there any keyboard shortcuts for it? Any information on this would be appreciated!

You should be able to click directly in the timeline. I don't recall controls for jumping forwards and backwards.
