itunes 12.7 not finding cd/dvd drive

I recently updated my Windows 10 machine to iTunes 12.7 and since that update, I can no longer burn cds. I ran the diagnostic and it tells me no cd drive was found even though my drive was clearly listen in the window. Prior to the update I had zero problems. The cd drive works perfectly with all other applications. how do in fix this??
