Downloading photos to phone

Hi ,

How can i download and keep the full res pictures and videos from the icloud?

Every time i go to watch a video with little to no signal, it fails - or will just keep 'pinwheeling' until i eventually give up.

My phone will always back up to the cloud every night when i leave it to charge overnight, but i don't seem to 'own' my photos. I'd like to have all my photos and videos in full res so i can view them offline with no issues. I have a 256Gb iPhone and about 500 pictures so i know i have plenty of storage.

Can anyone assist at all?

Check your settings in iCloud under photos and photo library. So Settings>Your Name>icloud>Photos>iCloud photo library>change from "optimize storage" to keep originals. If that doesn't help call the help line

you must enable "Download and Keep originals"
