itunes payment verification

I was trying to purchase a song from the itunes store, and when I did, a box came up saying "Verification is required", and that it must send a code to my SMS to verify my purchase. The problem is, this is a phone number that I no longer have access to, and as far as I can tell, it's not even linked to my account anymore, as I replaced it with my new phone number quite some time ago.

Enter any number, then when it’s rejected tap on the Didn’t Receive Code? text. The next screen allows you to choose different delivery options.
