Mono

I am recording a song with multiple tracks, and I only have one mic, so I am recording in mono. I am thinking I want to master the song in stereo, so how do I go about that? Do I keep the master track in stereo?

How about adding effect like reverb, etc.?

I am using Audio Technica AT-4050, and Apogee Duet.
