macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi there folks,

I was just wondering is my Mac Pro will be compatible with macOS 10.13 High Sierra once it comes out?

The trade press are saying "anything that runs Sierra will run High Sierra when it becomes available."

The Mac Pro 5,1 with 4GB or more is on that list.

It is supposed to work, the compatibility list states Mac Pro (Mid 2010 or newer) which means 5,1 and 6,1 only but I am having issues installing it. When I downloaded High Sierra on my Mac Pro 5,1 (same EFI and SMC as you) I get a message stating that I must update the firmware first. I've gone through the update procedure multiple times and it always reboots and asks me to update the firmware again.

I've also checked to see if there is a more recent firmware for my Mac Pro from Apple and nothing is posted (MP51.007F.B03 is shown as current). Is anyone else having the same problem, and have you found a way to successfully install High Sierra on a Mac Pro 5,1?

I actually haven't updated my Mac to macOS High Sierra yet.

I'll be putting the update on hold until I know it's safe.

Do keep me updated if you find a solution

I have the same issue. I cannot upgrade to High Sierra. I have tried the firmware update process multiple times and it didn't help.

Not sure what is the next step.
