Airdrop on Macbook Pro OS Sierra

I am running OS Sierra on my Macbook Pro 2011 and have found that the AirDrop has stopped working.

AirDrop does not give any "Options" when you try to activate it in Finder.

My Macbook will not connect to my iPhone nor my iPad.  The iPhone and iPad will see each other and AirDrop works fine but neither will work with the Macbook.

The Bluetooth is working fine and will connect to my Bluetooth speakers and the WiFi is connected to my WiFi router and is working perfectly.

Any suggestions?
