Someone found my iPad and wants my address to s...

2 years ago my iPad was stolen. Now, I suddenly get contacted from someone from Pakistan saying he bought it in a second-hand store. He would like to return it and asked for my address. When I said I don't really need it anymore, he asked me if I can remove the device from my apple ID so he can use it. It's a very dubious situation. Anything I should watch out here?

otherwise you could change it to something you don't use and change it back but it's possible the person with the device could also log into your account during that time and have access to your credentials and also lock you out of your account or lock your other Apple devices.

If they are willing to ship to a PO Box and you could ship back would be the safest way to proceed, otherwise I do not recommend pursuing this for the safety of your account and you may want to cut your losses where they stand.
