Hello everyone,

I hope somebody can help me here. I noticed this show up a few weeks ago. There is a "spotlighting effect" from the right hand side (bottom) of the display. It's noticeable but not by much while the display is FULLY lit (see second image), but it is very noticeable (see first image) as you decrease the brightness. My question is if anyone knows what this is and if it's something that is worth fixing, considering the laptop is nearing it's four year mark of course.

Have you ever fixed this issue?  I'm getting the same issue on my mid-2011 macbook air.
