Transfering iTunes music only to an external drive

Hello-

I am trying to consolidate several iTunes libraries to an external drive but I only want to save the music on that drive and not the movies and TV shows.

Is this possible?

I tried to drag and drop the iTunes folder but there is a great deal of stuff in the media folder that has been removed from iTunes and I think there are broken links or something because the movies play fine if I open them in Quicktime but don't show up in iTunes and I am getting an error when I try to move the library to the external drive.
