Broken Search in iTunes 12.7 and Prior Releases

There has been a perhaps minor, but extremely annoying bug in iTunes Search that has existed for several versions, whereby when you focus into the search bar, correctly selecting Store, type your search criteria and occasionally the search abruptly exits and returns to the Library view.

I suspect this may be due to some back-end data activity.   I know many people have reported this to Apple.  Why is this still a problem?

Also, regarding general searches:  the search function should be at least as smart as Google.   If you mis-type one letter in a search term (we've all done it) the search will fail.   This is pretty much unacceptable and I'm willing to bet there may be a measurable affect on sales, for those that don't realize.

Anyone else also encounter the above?
