AirDrop mixing up devices

Help! My husband and I both updated to the latest iOS and my MBP is on Sierra Nevada OSX. Before the updates we had no issue with AirDrop. Now, when I open the AirDrop folder on my laptop to send something to my phone it brings up my phone as his with his contact photo and if I try to drop to either device it sends to his phone. When he shut off his Bluetooth I was able to send to my phone. WHY is the computer seeing our phones as the same device all of the sudden? My iPhone name is different than his and my photo is different.
