Unable to "put back" multiple files from trash ...

I added about 10,000 RAW camera images to the trash and I need them back on my internal Mac hard drive. The only way to do that is to go to Trash and individually right click files and select put back. That works on every single image, but when I select multiple that option to put back is no longer available. It's not that one file in the group is unable to be put back either. Each file is .CR2 which is a Canon DSLR Raw image file. So they are all the same file types.

If you select the first image and then hold down the shift key while selecting the last image, can you drag them to the desired location?

That option will only be available if all the selected files originated from the same folder. If they came from more than a few different ones, you’re probably better off using an AppleScript or other method to put them back.
