Messages showing barcode emoji whenever somebod...

This is a weird one- whenever my wife types "I" in a text to me, it show's up as an "A and barcode emoji" on my messages app on my Mac but looks normal on my phone.  We've both done screen shots to each other to prove it.  I've restarted and even deleted the text string, but it still does it.  Seems like it's only text messages from her and not other people.  Any ideas?
