MacBook Pro crashing when booting

I have a MacBook Pro 15" retina, 2.6 GHz, 16 GB, 1 TB SSD, late 2013, Sierra. It went into sleep mode, when I came back and tried to wake it up, everything froze and I had to force shutdown. On rebooting the progress bar goes up 3/4 and then it crashes. I've tried booting from another HD and that went fine. I believe I've had one or two unexpected shutdowns in the past.

Anyone know about this?
