My $3K iMac shuts down randomly and is embarras...

I can't even render the video that is my livelihood.  I have clients waiting for footage that I can't deliver because my Apple computer shuts down every minute or two while rendering.

This is pathetic. Gee, I wonder if this "top-of-the-line" computer is overheating because they stuffed it into a "thin" chassis that NOBODY ASKED FOR. And it isn't even truly thin; it's thin when photographed at a 45-degree angle for marketing BS, but has a humpback.

What has a hump back?   Photo possible?   I ask in case you have a bad battery that is expanding in its death throes.   Do you have easy access to an Apple store?

A battery? In an iMac?

Have you seen the iMac?

Guilty.   Read it as 'Macbook'.   Am busy smacking my forehead.

But always with a new machine (less than 12 mmonths old), try to get it back to the store under the warranty.
