Gmail issues

I have problems with my battery Draining very quickly. .. down to 0 in a half hour. What is the cause and the cure for this?

Why do you think this is related to Gmail?

I'm sorry. I was having a gmail problem (this morning I could not send emails for some reason (but I could receive them) on my iphone and 2 ipads. It turns out that overnight the server port number was changed (?) by someone for Australia.  Someone else discovered the solution to this problem online. So I changed the question then to a problem with one of my ipads that started a few days ago, where the battery suddenly drains while the ipad is being used, if not plugged in.
